For those who followed the ICC hearing on the challenge to admissibility of the case against Germain Katanga last week, you’ll want to tune back into the court this Friday 12 June. Trial Chamber II will be handing down their decision in a public session at 9am Hague time.
I have absolutely no inside info on what the decision will be, but I can’t help but notice that for the ICC judges this is a particularly speedy decision. Could this be a sign that they just want to affirm jurisdiction and keep the process moving towards the slated start date on trial on 24 September . . . ?
