Over the course of the year I will be conducting interviews with people that I know many of you would also like the chance to sit in a room with. I can’t literally bring a roomful of people to every interview. But what I can do is at least solicit from you the questions you would ask if you were doing the interview. That’s what the “submit a question” tab is for.
As I schedule interviews in NY, DC, Brussels, Cairo, Addis and Khartoum over the course of the coming year, I’ll let you know those interviewees who will agree to take questions from you (obviously there will be some off-the-record interviews where those I’m interviewing won’t want anyone to know I’ve spoken with them, and so there will be significant chunks of this project that you can’t all be in on – but within those constraints I’m hoping to open up this process as much as possible).
If you submit a question, I’ll ask it, and then podcast the response back through the website. [You’ll have to bear with me these first few weeks since I’m learning the technology as I go, but I hope to get into a rhythm once I’m on the road . . .]
خلال العام, سوف اجري مقابلات مع اناس اعلم ان الكثير منكم يود لو سنحت له فرصة الجلوس معهم في غرفة واحدة. لا استطيع ان احضر غرفة مليئة بالناس في اية مقابلة. لكن ما استطيع فعله على الاقل هو ان اطلب منكم الاسئلة التي كنتم ستسالونها لو كنتم في المقابلة. هذا هو الغرض من مفتاح “قدم سؤالا“.
لانني سوف احدد مقابلات خلال العام القادم في نيويورك, واشنطن دي سي, بروكسل, لاهاي, اديس ابابا, و الخرطوم, سوف احيطكم علما بالمقابلين الذين يوافقون على اخذ اسئلة منكم (من الواضح انه ستكون هنالك مقابلات غير قابلة للنشرو التي سوف لن يريد الذين اجري معهم مقابلات ان يعرف احد انني تحدثت اليهم, و لذلك سوف يكون هناك قدرا مهما من هذا المشروع لا تكونون فيه كله—لكن ضمن هذه القيود اتمنى ان افتح هذه العملية قدر المستطاع).

Tout au long de cette année, j’aurai des entretiens avec des personnalités dont je sais que beaucoup d’entre vous aimeraient les rencontrer. Il m’est impossible d’accueillir un salle entière lors de ces entretiens mais ce que je peux faire, par contre, c’ est vous demander quelles questions vous poseriez si vous étiez vous-mêmes présents. C’est le but de la rubrique “soumettez-nous vos questions“.
Ces entretiens m’amèneront cette année à New York, Washington DC, Bruxelles, La Haye, Le Caire, Addis Ababa et Khartoum, et je vous ferai savoir quels interlocuteurs sont d’accord pour répondre à vos questions (il y aura bien évidemment des entretiens “officieux” durant lesquels mes interlocuteurs exigeront une confidentialité totale et en conséquence, des parties du projet auxquelles je ne serai pas en mesure de vous faire participer; mais malgré ces contraintes, j’espère que mon projet sera aussi accessible à tous que possible)

Wywiady odbedą sie w Nowym Jorku, Waszyngtonie, Brukseli, Hadze, Kairze, Addis Abebie i Chartumie.Nel corso dell’anno, intervisterò alcuni personaggi a cui, credo, anche molti di voi vorrebbero fare delle domande. Non potrò portarvi con me, ma posso darvi la possibilità di inviarmi le domande che voi vorreste fare. La tabella intitolata “invia una domanda” serve proprio a questo.

Chiaramente, ci saranno anche incontri a microfoni spenti, nel caso la persona intervistata non voglia che altri sappiano che la sto intervistando. Per questa ragione, parti significative di questo progetto non potranno vedervi protagonisti. Tuttavia, cercherò, nei limiti consentiti, di allargare il processo il più possibile.
