Hi everyone
In preparing for my first podcast interview – scheduled for tomorrow – it became apparent that I am not going to have time to ask every one of the questions that you have submitted. This has forced me to use some discretion in deciding which questions to exclude.
In the interests of transparency I have written down the guidelines I will use when the number of questions exceeds the time available (posted below, but now also available permanently on the “Submit a Question” tab). If you have thoughts on this approach, feel free to post a comment below.
Policy on use of questions submitted
- I am soliciting questions through this website for podcast recordings in order to maximize the access that the general public have to the views of those who have been and/or are currently involved in responding to the situation in Darfur.
- Each podcast recording will be conducted within a limited window of time, so to maximize the time available I may:
– Combine multiple versions of what is substantively the same question
– Re-phrase unclear questions and/or shorten unnecessarily lengthy questions.
- Where the volume of questions submitted means that, even after doing the above, there is still not enough time to ask all the questions that have been submitted, then I will have to use some discretion in selecting which questions to ask. In such cases I will prioritize for inclusion those questions of broadest interest to the general public.
* انني اطلب اسئلة من خلال هذا الموقع لتسجيلات نشرية وذلك لزيادة فرص حصول العامة على رؤى الذين كانوا و\او لازالوا حاليا منخرطين في الاستجابة للوضع في دارفور.
* كل تسجيل للنشر سوف يتم القيام به خلال فترة زمنية محددة, لذلك لزيادة الزمن المتاح قد:
– اقوم بدمج الصيغ المتعددة لما هو جوهريا نفس السؤال
– اعيد صياغة الاسئلة غير الواضحة و\او اختصر الاسئلة المطولة بصورة غير ضرورية.
* حينما يكون حجم الاسئلة المقدمة يعني انه لا يوجد, حتى بعد القيام بما هو موضح اعلاه, زمن كافي لطرح كل الاسئلة المقدمة, فانه يجب علي ان امارس سلطة تقديرية في اختيار الاسئلة التي اطرحها. في مثل هذه الحالات, سوف افضل ادراج الاسئلة ذات المصلحة الاوسع للعامة. * Je souhaite, à travers ce site, recevoir vos questions et les enregistrer (podcast) afin de donner au grand public le plus grand accès possible aux opinions de celles/ceux qui sont actuellement impliqués d’une façon ou d’une autre dans la situation au Darfour.
* Chaque enregistrement sera d’une durée limitée, si bien que pour profiter de ce temps de la meilleure possible, il se peut:
– que je refonde plusieurs versions d’une même question en une seule question
– que je reformule des questions qui ne me paraissent pas claires et que j’en abrège certaines
* Si, cependant, il s’avère que malgré ces modifications, le volume de questions reçu est tel que je ne peux répondre à toutes, je me verrai obligée de faire un choix parmi ces questions. Dans ce cas, je donnerai priorité aux questions qui présentent le plus d’intérêt pour le grand public.
• Zachęcam Państwa do udziału w moim projekcie, dlatego że cenie dostęp obywateli do polityków, prawników i innych którzy zajmują sie problematyką Darfuru. Chciałabym, żeby moje wywiady staly sie naszymi wywiadami, i dlatego prosze o Państwa pytania.
• Ponieważ wywiady i podcasty są ograniczone czasowo, uprzedzam że:
– Zwiąże osobne ale podobne pytania i zaprezentuje je jako jedną całość
– Skróce niepotrzebnie długie pytania, i zmodyfikuje niejasne lub niezgrabne pytania.
• W przypadkach kiedy wyżej określone starania nie będą wystarczające żeby przekazać każde z Państwa pytań, postaram sie wybrać te pytania które w moim mniemaniu będą najbardziej interesujące dla największej ilości słuchaczy.
